Terms of Service

Thank you for choosing Peak Student Strategies. This agreement outlines the terms and expectations for our work together. 

 

Session Format 

All coaching sessions are conducted via Google Meet unless other arrangements have been mutually agreed upon. Students must join sessions from a computer (not a phone or tablet) with a reliable internet connection and in a quiet, distraction-free environment. In the rare event of technical difficulties, every reasonable effort will be made to continue the session. If the session cannot proceed effectively, it will be rescheduled or counted as a completed session at the coach’s discretion. 

Scheduling & Weekly Meetings

Sessions are held weekly on the same day and time. While we will make every effort to accommodate occasional schedule changes, we cannot guarantee availability. Clients are responsible for payment for scheduled sessions while enrolled. 

Registration Fee

 

A one-time registration fee of $100 is required upon signup. This fee covers the initial review of records, communication with current or past providers, and administrative onboarding. 

Payment Terms

  • Payment is required prior to the start of services unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

  • The 4-Week Starter Program is billed as a one-time upfront payment.

  • The Semester package may be offered with installment payment options. Clients enrolled in installment plans authorize automatic recurring payments through our secure payment processor.

  • Ongoing Strategy Support is billed monthly through automatic recurring payments.

  • A valid payment method must be kept on file for all recurring payment plans.

  • Invoices and receipts are sent automatically via our secure payment system.

  • Failed or declined payments may result in paused scheduling or services until the account is brought current.

  • We are unable to split payments between multiple parties or payment methods.


Cancellations & Missed Sessions


Clients must cancel or reschedule sessions at least 24 hours in advance. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed without notice will be charged in full. 

Parental Involvement 


Parental support is an important part of the coaching process. Family Team Meetings (typically 15 minutes) occur at the end of every fourth session to align on progress and strategies. Please note: Family Team Meetings are optional for college students.

Communication Guidelines 


To maintain healthy boundaries and clear communication: 
●  Please send non-urgent messages during regular business hours (Monday–Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM EST). 
●  I respond to emails and messages within 24 business hours. 
●  Please consolidate questions into one message when possible.

●  Coaching sessions are held between the student and coach only, unless a parent or Family Team

    Meeting has been scheduled.

 
Insurance, Superbills & FSA/HSA 


Peak Student Strategies is a private-pay service. We do not accept insurance or provide traditional superbills. We can provide a detailed billing summary (dates, services, and payments) upon request. You may be able to use funds from an FSA or HSA account. Please check with your provider to determine eligibility. 

Annual Rate Adjustments 


Rates are subject to adjustment at the end of each school year based on inflation and business costs. Clients will be notified in advance of any changes. 

Termination of Services


Either party may terminate services with 30 days’ written notice. Any prepaid sessions will be refunded minus a $50 administrative fee, unless otherwise agreed upon. 

Confidentiality & Liability 


All documentation and personal information will be kept confidential and not be shared without your permission, except as required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others). Notwithstanding the foregoing, if the client’s parents are financially responsible for the client's coaching fees, the client understands and agrees that the coach may provide general updates to parents, the extent of which is to be determined by the coach in the coach’s sole discretion, regarding the client’s progress, missing appointments, client email or text check-ins. Coaching is not therapy and is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or psychiatric care. Peak Student Strategies is not liable for outcomes related to the student’s academic performance or mental health. 

Agreement 


By signing up for services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined in this agreement. This agreement constitutes the entire agreement of the parties and reflects a complete understanding of the parties with respect to the subject matter and supersedes all prior written and oral representations, communications, or agreements.
